Following a conversation with a research project on bipolar disorder, I explored how visualising data could empower non-technical users to better manage their mental health.
Start-up Deglaze needed early reminders and live event tracking so busy users could ensure meals would be ready on time.
‘Live activity’ widgets for emergencies. How lock screen notifications could help users when every second counts.
New onboarding experience gives users customisable extended auto warranties. Engaging iconography breaks down coverage details of plans, tapping reveals a covered parts list and the risks of failure.

Trained as a Fine Art Photographer, I’ve exhibited in major international galleries including the De Young Museum in San Francisco, the Baltic Gallery, Newcastle and The Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh. I've had work published in leading European photography magazines Der Greif, Source Magazine as well as King's College Cambridge's The King's Review.
I've also received several prestigious awards, including the Scottish New Contemporaries, the Bloomberg New Contemporaries, Metro Imaging's Graduate Award and Source Magazine's '10 Best Graduate Photographer's in 10 Years'.
I've also worked as a professional photographer with a focus on both Architectural Photography and Product Photography.

I’ve spent some time thinking about how we interact with AI and whether we can move beyond the trial-and-error of prompt engineering.
In this article, I explore a design-first approach to this problem — looking at where within a transformer model UI elements could give users more intuitive ways to guide AI outputs. Interestingly, these ideas overlap with recent research on Large Concept Models, which structure LLMs around ideas and concepts rather than words.
